About School Jyotirmoy School of Business under of the Jyotirmoy Education & Welfare Foundation is a part of the triumvirate of colleges established in Sonarpur, Kolkata. It’s founder president Dr. Partha Sarathi Ganguli had already done much work in the promotion of inter country & inter university academic programs. This experience moved him to visualize a school which will truly draw from all the best facets of management practices in the East & West. Traditionally management practices have always had a Western bias but with the economic axis changing slowly towards the east as China & India develop as the fastest growing economic countries there will be some sort of a shakeout as companies scramble to understand the dynamics & ethos which drive business in the South East Asian region.

Moreover, the Board of Governors and the Academic Council will be adequately represented by distinguished people from industry and academia. • Separate placement team will work round-the-year to ensure that students are given access to the best companies both through campus placements as well as through networking. • A monthly e-Newsletter will be published wherein faculties and students will provide their write-ups. There will be a compulsory section for ‘Industry-News’ where, amongst other things, the interviews with industry personalities, their view-points on the business environment will also be published. Students will be actively involved in making the industry-institute interfacing a success.
